After arrival at our treatment facility, all wastes are checked against the collection paperwork and reference sample, weighed and tested.

Samples are analysed at our Central Laboratory where amongst others the (precious) metal content of the waste is determined, using the analytic method of Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy.

Following sampling, the wastes is either stored, bulked and/or treated in the physico-chemical treatment plants at our Market Harborough facility in order to produce precious metal as well as copper, nickel and tin concentrates. Other components are also recovered from the wastes.
